  • Adult Name Change – $750

  • Child Name Change – $950

  • Ex Parte to Restore Name – $150

  • Court File fee – $435

  • Publication fee – varies by publication, typically between $200 to $400

  • Certified copy from court – $25

Legal Name Change Process Overview

  1. Complete questionnaire—email, over the phone or in-person.
  2. Contract and PINK Legal service fee due.
  3. Documents prepared.
  4. Documents reviewed, signed and filed with the Court—Court file fee due.
  5. Hearing scheduled (not applicable to Ex Parte to Restore Name.)
  6. Documents submitted for publication, client must pay fee directly to publication (not applicable to Ex Parte to Restore Name.)
  7. Client must attend hearing (not applicable to Ex Parte to Restore Name.)
  8. Judge signs Order.
  9. Client must obtain certified copy of signed Order from court and follow up with Department of Health Services and Social Security Administration.
